Game review: The Magic Circle

The magic circle is a simple indie game created by the development team 'Question'. That was later ported to Playstation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, it is a clear example that even simple concepts are both complex and unique underneath.

The basic premise
It is an 'unfinished' RPG, you are the hero and your creators have failed you.
Time to take matters into your own hands?

This is a Howler, one of the 'finished' NPCs in the game

Using the strength you have as the hero, and some you don't, you must save the game from being abandoned. Progressing through the world that is not even painted yet. With the help of a mysterious disembodied voice  you must seize the tools of game development from these unworthy 'gods'.

This 3D first-person adventure has you editing the game from the inside with control of anything you have the strength to take.

This is what you see after you 'take control' of the Howler

The magic circle covers the theme of vengeance as well as anger from a 'disembodied' voice however, there may be others covered...
It comes under the genre of role play but takes a comedic view on the struggle of games design and creative differences within a team.

A short overview of the game

Conclusion
The magic circle is an incredible game and was my introduction to game design as a whole. It's controls are smooth and the game is balanced without making you feel powerless. There is a large amount of content.
